Twenty Twelve!

Happy New Year All !! i must say twenty twelve has a nice ring to it. i do not have any new years resolutions or new promises and changes i want to make because honestly i am living the best i can right now. ive thought about it….ive thought, hmmmm what can i change for the better? work harder, get more sleep, stretch more, blah blah blah. when it comes to it i do what makes me happy. okay maybe i should stretch more. actually i should but will i in the end…NO lol i already know i wont so why make that promise to myself. if i feel like stretching i will. that wasn’t the best example but you get it right? i just tell myself this….this year i will live and be happy. have fun, laugh, smile, keep doing all the things that make Andrea happy. thats all…thats my New Year promise to myself. love laugh and have fun!

as 2011 comes to an end…

WOWZA i cant believe tomorrow is already the 31st. for some reason i thought it was the 29th and there were two more days of December. geez…im sure many of you out there do that. lose track of what day it is lol. even though each day runs into the other and its not like January 1st it all starts over its fun to think that it actually is a good time to think about things, reflect and for some make positive changes. as for me i have never been one for New Years resolutions. im pretty disciplined in making a change when the change is needed. but for some i understand the New Year being a good time to make some positive changes in life. whatever it be…New Years, Monday or turning 40. if those specific times mean changing for the GOOD then so be it dammit.

i will be staying in on New Years Eve. ive never been one to want to go out and party it up on NYE. sure when i was younger it was all good but now…. im good staying home and watching all the fools on TV freeze their butts off while the ball drops lol. i want to wake up feeling good the next day instead of hungover and wasting my day laying around wiped out. so to any out there reading this and going out….please BE CAREFUL. id love to think people are smarter now about drinking and driving but it only takes one drunk idiot to end someones life.

a friend posted this link and i think its very fitting for the New Years. while many are wanting to lose weight, quit spending so much, go to the gym more, quit smoking…all those are great and all but consider one or some or hell…ALL of these! 30 Things to Stop Doing to Yourself!

GIANT Sequoias

we went to my families house for the Christmas weekend. im from the Central Valley. Central Cali is nothing to gloat about lol. alot of farm land, shopping centers, and um…well not a whole lot. the good thing about the central valley is its about 2 hrs from the mountains and 2 hrs from the beach. so when your bored which may be often you can always go for a day trip to one of your favorite outdoor spots. on Christmas Eve day we went to the mountains to see the Giant Sequoias. it was beautiful. i was up there when i was a kid but i tell ya…now i can appreciate the outdoors & nature so much more. the air was clean and crisp. the trees were magnificent. you look UP and UP and cannot begin to think how long these trees have been standing there. im talking thousands of years. its really something to see and i look forward to the next time we go back.

Christmas day was pretty low key. got together with some more family, had a nice lil early dinner and played some fun games. i got to see my niece open her gifts and that must of been the best part. kids and Christmas is so much fun. the weekend went by so fast and im glad its over. as much as i love Christmas time im glad to get back to my daily grind. a new year, a new beginning as some say….i say get your shit together now & don’t wait for January 1st haha.

MIA, Christmas AND Cookies…of course ;)

wow where do i begin? i have not posted all month. i bet you didn’t even notice huh? so far this month has kept me busy. Christmas cookies and goodies are high in demand. Baking decorating and shipping out cookies galore has kept me a busy baker. some orders and not to mention some fun cookies i made for a cookie swap. Getting the gym in their is a priority as well. i have to manage my time well when i do cookies because i get so wrapped up in it sometimes i don’t eat and will miss the gym. other than cookies and the gym, i have been squeezing cam in there too. need to make that extra money ya know.

well here we are…Christmas time. i only bought two gifts. they are games for my little niece. our family doesn’t get into the whole gift giving. the presents are for the kids and well since we only have my 8 yr old niece it makes it easy. no need to go in debt over Christmas people. seriously…i hear others bitchin and moaning about not knowing what to get the person that has everything or they cant afford gifts. well you know what i say to that….”OH WELL” if i cannot afford it thats an easy one, i dont buy it. bills come first in my mind and then if i have some chump change to have fun with then so be it. i will be going to my families this Christmas. i enjoy it. we laugh, have fun, eat good food and just visit. no better way to spend the holidays.

im so blessed and thankful to be alive and kickin. yes, i keep myself healthy and take care of ANDREA. times are tough i know but things are moving forward in this world. all need to keep a positive outlook on things and smile. i wish everyone a merry christmas, happy hanukkah, happy holidays and a happy day! whatever it is have fun!!!

FUN times

do you ever do things that remind you of being a kid? well i do…ALOT! yesterday i was walking by this cool lil candy store. i walked in and they had tons of different kinds of candy from way back when. alot that i used to get when i was a kid. Pop Rocks, Fun dip and salt water taffy to name a few and those happen to be the ones i got. OMG…i poured that bag of Pop Rocks in my mouth and let it sit and what a joy it was LOL. ive always had a sweet tooth. i keep it in check though because i know what sugar will do to my ass…literally. when i was a kid i can remember my brother & i riding our bikes to the store and dropping about $5 on nothing but candy. $5 would get you soooo much candy back then. i can remember the girl at the checkout would always laugh at us. “back for more huh” “you gonna eat all that?” yea she knew we would come in for candy and candy only haha. im surprised i still have teeth in my head from all the candy i ate growing up. damn…..talk about a sugar fiend!!!! WOWZA! have FUN guys….life is supposed to be FUN!!!

Black Friday nonsense

all this hype about black Friday….what do you think about it? i will tell you this….black Friday does not interest me one bit. for one i am not a shopper. i hate going to malls, department stores, dealing with the parking and the people. if i can buy it online then i am a happy camper. i would say most of my clothes & shoes i buy online. when i was living in NYC i must say shopping was a different story. i could walk to the stores & they had items that many stores don’t have here. i turned on the news a lil while ago and what do i see about  black Friday…all these people standing hours in line and when the doors open they do this mad dash & don’t care who is around. people are getting trampled, pepper sprayed and hurt. i guess you know what your getting yourself into if you put yourself there but DAMN…all that for a deal lol.

whatever…i stayed my happy ass home, did some laundry, got rid of some clothes for goodwill, decorated some cookies then went to the gym and the grocery store. thanksgiving dinner was awesome. spent a fun night with some friends. now the holiday madness begins and i will be avoiding it at all costs!

November is on our way out so im leaving you with a cookie i did for Movember hee hee!

i havent updated my blog in awhile i see. ive been busy….yeehaw! things have been good i must say. the weather here in SoCal is so nice considering its close to the end of the year. this will be the first Thanksgiving Tim & I will not be with family. for both of us actually. wow kinda weird but im good with it because honestly the holidays are just another day & and im happy to see my family when i can whether it be holiday or not. i was just down at my moms house this past weekend for my dad’s 60th birthday so we are not driving down there again this weekend. Tim & I will hang with some friends later today to get our turkey grub on.

so what are you thankful for? i know for me my health is my most important thing in life i am thankful for. im thankful for my family & close friends. im thankful for living freely as we do here in the US and im thankful for all those that HAVE and DO make that possible. each and everyday i wake up, open my eyes & put my two feet on the ground is a blessing. life is good and i make the most of it each & everyday.

Happy Halloween!!!

Happy Halloween to all you freaks and geeks out there. haha!! im not doing anything special this year. we don’t get any trick or treaters so handing out candy isn’t an option. not going to any Halloween parties either. guess im boring LOL. was planning on going to Universal Studios Haunted Horror nights but the day we were gonna go Timothy ended up working later than expected so that was a no go. oh well…there is always next year. I did make plenty of Halloween cookies this year and we did decorate the place with some cool decorations. even got a skull cookie jar that will be up ALL year round. im very fond of skulls. i LOVE them. well hope everyone enjoys their Halloween. be safe, enjoy and look for me at the store buying up all the discounted candy in a few days!!!

do you laugh everyday? well if not you should. let yourself go…be goofy, be funny, don’t give a shit what others think. surround yourself with people that have a good sense of humor. i know i do. timothy & i ALWAYS laugh. everyday. the last couple days as a matter of fact we did or said something so funny that i laughed so hard my abs were hurting and my eyes were watering. those are the best laughs i tell ya. i think laughing is one the the best things in life….laughing = happiness and having fun. honestly id rather be around someone who makes me laugh that someone who is more intelligent than I.  anyways….just a thought, just a quick note, just a reminder to go ahead & act goofy & laugh at yourself…im sure others will join in with ya and it will be one big laughing fest!
