what an imagination!!! kids have the best imagination & i think its important to keep that imagination going as you grow older. i saw this video about a week ago & i just watched it again tonight. this little girl is something else. i can remember thinking like her when i was a kid. believing in the unknown…believing in magic…something about letting your mind just go! only if more people would let go from time to time.

$$$…save a lil, spend a lil!

sometimes people can get caught up in money! yes money can make things a lil nicer…easier…less stressful. BUT there are times when money can dictate how you live. im speaking for myself here about what i see & what i experience. money is a big deal if we like it or not lol. i dont have big credit card bills, i dont have an expensive car (hell i dont own a car) i dont go on fancy vacations or do the fine dining BUT i do live my life. there are times when i have to tell myself “money comes & goes andrea” so i will spend money and do things. i can get caught up on trying to save money, paying off a 0% credit card  from getting work done on my teeth, or stressing out that i owe in taxes. whether i stress or not it always ends up being okay. i live a good life. i know some people that work work work & make a VERY good living but never have time for friends or family. it hurts me to see that. ive never been one to put career before anything. maybe thats why i never made a huge salary. i just dont understand how some can let money & work run their lives and they end up missing out on the important things….the people that they are close too or experiencing new adventures. hmmmm oh well….just was thinking about it today.

timothy & i went to the street fair here in the city today. nyc has street fairs about every weekend when the weather starts warming up a bit. they are fun…lots of food, people and STUFF! yes alot of stuff for sell. from t-shirts, jewelry, hats and so on. there are alot of cool things that are handmade that artist bring for sell. so i brought some cash with me & spent about  $40. i got a slick bracelet, a cool tshirt (yes i ♥ cupcakes) a skull beanie & of course some kettle corn which i ate as soon as i got home haha! yeah i blew $40 on stuff i didnt need but sometimes you just gotta say screw it & go have some fun & not worry about how much things cost or you should be working.

anyways…thats all the BS i have to say for now. goodnight xox

teaching a dog bad tricks!

im so lucky peanut is such a good lil girl. i spoil her rotten & she never misbehaves. she gets so much attention from timothy & i its sick sometimes. BUT…peanut came from a very bad home. she was mauled by another dog that left a huge scar on her back, she was put in a pen with many other dogs & left to fend for her own food. she never got attention, she was kicked….its terrible. we adopted her december 2008. she has came around so much.
she knows when someone is in the kitchen. it is so funny…she could be in a dead sleep but once someone goes into the kitchen she is standing right there looking up at you. its cute! i egg ALOT of it on though. im always making her go crazy and laughing about it. heaven forbid when i have kids. im gonna be the mom to tell her kid to go flip daddy off and laugh hysterically as they go do it. oh man i can see it now haha!

peanuts new bad habit…she knows when i get yogurt out of the fridge because after im done eating it she gets to lick the sides. kinda like when you where a kid & mom let you lick the bowl. she deserves every bit of love she gets ♥

wonderful wonderland!

saw alice in wonderland 3D yesterday. wow it was really good. i enjoyed every minute of it. seeing it in 3D really gives you the full effect of the movie. there were times when i actually felt like i was on a ride it seemed so real. i enjoy seeing fantasy type movies. it lets my mind go free & i feel like a kid again. its fun, stimulating and good for the soul ♥

call me crazy but sometimes i like to think if santa claus, the easter bunny, leprechauns and fairies where real. i mean seriously…how cool would that be haha and NO im not on drugs. im a very visual person. i like to let my imagination run wild and dream. maybe thats why ive always been creative and interested in art since i was a kid. if leprechauns were real i would have one and keep him in my purse & take him everywhere i go. lmfao! i can remember when i was in 1st grade, it was st patty’s day. the teacher put green hand & foot prints all over the classroom walls & floor. they painted little rocks gold and hid them. they told us that the leprechauns were here and they left their gold behind. it was up to us to find it. to think back i really thought it was real. i remember telling my mom “look, look at all this gold i found!” haha so funny!
ahhhh to be a kid again! actually i still do act like a kid from time to time

success stories!

success stories are always the best to read or hear about. this morning i was on the google….have you ever googled your name? well i have many times. just to see whats out there on me. funny how many websites im on that i had no idea about. so many sites take info/pics from other sites & make their own. the way i look at it…free advertising that i dont have to work for haha! really….i cant get mad about it because there isnt much i can do about it. just have to make sure whatever i do as far as vids or pics that i wont mind that they will be out there for the world to see.

so anyways…back to what i wanted to write about. googled my name & went to images. a couple months ago i donated $35 to NY-Pet Rescue its where i got peanut. $35 sponsors a dog’s ticket to safety. here is the sweety that was rescued ♥

looking back…

i got a few photos from a photo shoot i did back in november at the nationals in FL. man…to see how you can transform your body is unreal and to think about all the hard work that went into transforming that physique…WOW!

i look back at all the hours of cardio, nights of going to bed hungry, cravings, feeling fatigued and seeing the end result if where you get that self-satisfaction. its all worth it! some dont understand…and some will never understand why some of us put ourselves through such a vigorous training regimen and a strict deprived diet. to commit to something & stick it out til the very end gives you a source of pride that no one can take away ♥

happy st patty’s day!

wow todays weather was unbelievable! i think it was 68 today. perfect day for the parade and all the stuff going on for st patricks day. sitting at my computer i heard many people out drinking, yelling & having a good time. i heard guys walking the streets with their bag pipes dressed in their kilts, people walking around with their green on and many pepole standing outside at all the irish pubs. i stayed in most of the day getting some work done. this evening i did go out for a drink. a HUGE apple martini. it was GOOD!!! i only had one though. it took alot not to have a second. BUT….there’s always next time

something to think about…

next time you run out the door and forget your cell phone or your on vacation and you cant check your email…dont worry about it! there is more to life than emails from coworkers on weekends or a call/text from a buddy wanting to know whats up. sometimes you just have to take a moment or a weekend to get away from technology!
im to blame for having my cell phone on me ALL the time, taking my laptop on vacations, on the computer at home late at night doing a whole lot of nothing. BUT i will say this…there are times when i turn my computer off EARLY just to relax & watch tv or only check my email ONCE a day when im on vacation. its crazy how you have to tell your self…”im not going to worry about emails, messages or voicemails today or tomorrow.” technology has brought us so much but i think the key is learning to not let it run your life. i dont have one of those nifty iphones or blackberrys that i can be online all the time. to be honest i dont want one….i say that know haha! anyways, i saw this & wanted to share it with all you! ♥

oh yeah, spring forward!

i woke up this morning and it was about 9:15am i thought to myself…damn im lazy lol. i usually wake up around 7:30-8am but i have been going to bed late these days. so i got my coffee, checked my emails, took peanut out and started making some pumpkin pancakes. after that i sat back at my computer & was on facebook & saw someone posting something about spring forward. “oh yeah…one hour ahead andrea!!!” haha i didnt feel so bad then.
so what did i do today besides walk in the rain to the grocery store? NOTHING! i even took a nap lol. so its almost 5:30pm now & im drinking some coffee then going to head to the gym and do some cardio. its been raining for the last 3 days. hopfully the sun will start to come out more this week. i love me some sunshine   and i LOVE spring forward! nothing better than it getting dark around 8pm! hope everyone had a nice weekend! xox

happy birthday to me!

yep today was my birthday so if you didnt wish me a happy birthday too bad haha! nah just kidding. i had a great day today. woke up, went to the gym, got some things done on the computer, had a mani/pedi and then went to a really nice dinner at Churrascaria. a brazilian steakhouse. the funniest part of it all is i dont eat red meat lol. what the hell am i doing at an all you can eat steakhouse? well i’ll tell ya…my sidekicks timothy & sylvia are big meat eaters so they love the place. myself…i love the all you can eat seafood salad bar. im talking the best seafood around, sushi, scallops, calamari, sashimi, shrimp and many other salads and side dishes that are unbelievable. their desserts are amazing too. not your typical chocolate cake & apple pie stuff….the desserts they had were fancy desserts lol. yes fancy….im not a fine diner so i call the stuff fancy haha!

so after coming home and feeling all ohhh and ahhh my belly hurts i had to have a slice of my cookies n cream icecream cake. birthdays are special and what made it most special is i was not dieting for a damn bodybuilding show. thanks to all my friends & family that wished me a happy birthday! it was a good one! ♥
